About Us

Gheorgheni is a more than 100 years old little mountain town which lies in the heart of the Eastern Carpathian Mountains. The first written mentions about it, were made in the 13th century as a little settlement near the George’s stream.

The Hotel Astoria, which runs its activities in an almost 100 years old building, is a gem and an ornament of the town thanks to its original classical bourgeois style.
